Here is a low-dollar item that can genuinely help your car to start, run and look better. It only takes about an hour to install this kit and it can be done by just about anyone with a little mechanical aptitude. Included in the kit are:
- O-rings to replace the throttle body shaft seals. These seals are important because they prevent vacuum leaks that can alter the smooth engine idle. A secondary TPS o-ring, as well as a throttle body-to-intake flange o-ring and an o-ring for the brass air valve are also included.
- Stainless steel fasteners to replace the old ones. These fasteners are marine quality and the best looking fastener that can be found. There are hex cap screws for throttle body mounting, hex cap screws for TPS mounting and new stainless nut and stainless, serrated washer for the throttle cable cam. Also included are specially machined stainless steel screws for securing the throttle plate. All of these fasteners look good and stand up well to corrosion. The TPS screws provided are hex socket head (rather than the OEM Phillips).
