The stock 951 intercooler has serious restrictions built into its factory design. Our new 951 intercooler starts with a factory cooler which is extensively modified to provide an increase in flow rate which allows for greater cooling efficiency. No modifications to the body structure are necessary, you retain your headlight system, AC and there is no blockage of the air going to the radiator. This is the simply the most effective and afforadable option available to the 951 owner! The modifications performed in the Stage I upgrade corrects major restrictions in the factory unit resulting in an 8% increase in the flow rate resulting in quicker spool up of the turbocharger (reduced lag). Both Stage I & II modifications improve the dispersion of the air through the cooling tubes resulting in more efficient cooling of intake charge air. The stage II modifications correct remaining restrictions for maximum flow. Both intercoolers can be customer installed in under two hours. The Lindsey Racing intercoolers require only "minor" modifications to your car. You will be required to remove one factory-mounting tab, which can be done in mere seconds.
We recommend the Stage I Intercooler for the following: Stock 2.5 liter engines using air cleaner upgrade, performance chip sets, Lindsey Boost Enhancer, exhaust modifications.

We recommend the Stage II for the following: 2.8 to 3 liter engines using Mass AirFlow systems, Lindsey Boost Enhancer, especially with K-27 or Hybrid turbo and large exhaust systems.

Core deposit on intercoolers is $300. Upon our receipt of your core within 45 days of orignial purchase, and it's inspection, we will refund your core charge.

Also available are several commonly replaced items when changing intercoolers.
