  • This sleeve or "race" is what the Balance shaft seal* rides against. If the sleeve has a groove worn into it the seal will leak. Good idea to replace these sleeves when doing a front engine reseal.

  • 8 valve 944's require two

  • 16 valve 944's & 968's require two

  • 944 83-84 M/T VIN -14859 A/T VIN -21784 require three
