The Ultimate Strut replaces the factory type gas struts that typically have a short life expectancy.  The easy to install carbon fiber and aluminum construction is elegant, compact, and won't wear out like gas charged struts. NO drilling required for installation. The tip of the support tube contains a magnet with a cushioned vinyl cap and a vinyl receptacle placed on the hood also contains a magnet to allow the two pieces to "find" each other.
