**Must order with Koni 8641-1414S**
The new Koni 8641-1414 Sport struts are an insert replacement for those late model 944 and 968 with sealed struts. Roughly, the process to install these requires that you cut and drill the sealed strut to receive the new insert. The insert is then bolted in through the bottom of the casing, and finished off with a fitted rubber piece to hide any trace of the procedure. Conversion: We are now offering this process completed for you. We have a ready supply or cores which we will convert according to your application. Once received, you are asked to return your cores to us within 30 days to receive your core charge refund ($250/set). The general process includes not only the conversion, but also cleaning and painting of the strut cores. Unless otherwise specified, we wil repaint the core units Koni Yellow. You must purchase the struts separately - Koni Shocks and Struts.
Alternate Color: Standard color is Koni Yellow. Free alternate color is Black.
Use with ARHK: In addition to the conversion, we will also make your struts ready for use with the Adjustable Ride-Height Kit by trimming the lower perches off. The lower perch is no longer needed when using the Adjustable Ride-Height Kit. While it is not necessary to do this, it does allow easy access to the new lower perch which increases lowering capability by approximately 1". This will also eliminate interference with oversize wheel/tire fitments. Add this option to your order for only $30/set.
Spring Removal and Replacement: This is a great opportunity to upgrade the springs and/or replace the upper strut mounts. Now you can send us your strut with all hardware attached and we will perform the complete process of conversion and spring installation with your new or used hardware. Some options include the Weltmeister Sport Springs for the 944 and the H&R Sport Springs for the 944S2 and 968. Also, now would be a good time to replace those Upper Strut Mounts with Original Equipment or Aftermarket Adjustable Camber Plates.
