The early Porsche 911 is unique in that it utilized torsion bars on the front and rear of the car. Boge was the standard shock absorber and strut used and Koni was supplied on all S models and any car optioned with the Koni package. Koni shocks and struts are easily identified by there orange red color. Boge shocks and struts are generally black. Boge strut housings can accept either Koni or Bilstein inserts while Koni strut housings must use Koni inserts.  We can advise you so that you can pick the correct suspension package for your car and your use.
