Porsche 944, 928 Odometer Gear This is the gear that breaks when you reset your odometer while the car is moving. If your odometer is not working, a broken odometer gear is likely the culprit. Our quality replacement odometer gear is available in two sizes and the only way to verify what is correct for your car is to count the teeth on the gear you're removing. The outside gear will have 20 teeth but the inside gear can have either 21 or 22.
