This harness mount was developed in response to customer requests for a truss-style harness mount for the Porsche 996/997 coupe. The new R-1035 features water-jet machined aluminum construction much like our R-1025 harness truss. Like all Brey-Krause harness mounts, the R-1035 uses only existing mounting points. No drilling, welding or fabrication is required for installation. Once installed, the main portion can be unbolted in ten minutes, allowing use of the rear seats.


The R-1035 been tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements. This harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking.

  • Models: 996/997 Coupe- NOTE: Please use part R-1029 for 997 Cabriolet.
  • Installation: Bar attaches to rear strut tops & seat belt mounting points and is easy to remove/reinstall. For the 996/997 GT2 & GT3, the R-1031 adaptor kit must be used. For models with Bose rear deck mounted sound system, use model R-1029 instead of model R-1035.
